The brief
A small quarterly wanted to feel like a newspaper you keep, in English, Portuguese and German, on paper that drinks ink.
The move
One grotesk with heavy ink traps, a baseline grid that survives three languages, and a rule that every page has one big number.
What changed
The system has carried nine issues without a redesign, and the editors now build most spreads themselves.
